Jazz Radio Amsterdam started broadcasting on november 16th 2006 offering streaming music over the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the Netherlands. We play an innovative mix of classic and modern Jazz.

Jazz is a uniquely American style of music with roots in New Orleans. Traditionally, it's a style of rhythmic, syncopated music created by one or more musicians improvising on a melody or chord. Key figures include Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Chet Baker, Dave Brubeck, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis.
